banjo , ****ing ace
http://www.discodsp.com/discovery/
the only vst i can truly reccomend that delivers such a full sound.
pro 53 is good though, ive found the discovery to sound really full and analogy and still sounds full along side my virus (its very much like a nord lead) so much so itll accept nord patches.
i hate the vanguard with a passion, its good for bass but leads tend to sound so cold and sharp, really digital sounding.
they stand out a mile in tracks aswell.
if you want to make trance with rich sounding synths then the discovery is the way to go software wise imo .
check out absynth aswell if you want to delive into slightly more complex synthesis options.
My first choice would be vanguard and fm7.
