Nah, I had the bassline sent to me by another producer.

I've only been making tunes for a month or so, so this is my first one I have let people hear.

Just had a listen now mate. Not bad at all if you've only been at it a few months! I could go into detail about compression and all sorts, but since you've not been doing it long you will figure them out with time. You need a lot more variation in your loops, it just seems to go on with the same flow. Also the bass is too prominent. Filter out some of the high frequencys, and boost the low end to give the track more omph. In techno, its very important how the bass sits with the drum, you will need to compress them together, to get the bassline to sit nicly in the background, while still giving that driving force to the track. Check out all the post's on compression, because next to decent monitors, compression is one of the most important things you are going to use in a track.

Hope this helps a little :D
