Statement from one of the owners...

It breaks my heart to write this but the south coasts famous Dingy underground nighclub will be closing its doors to the raving masses as Destiny on the 8th May 2005.

Myself and Ollie would like to thank all those who have helped build Destiny, all the resident DJ's and MC's, all the promoters of Frenzy, Resonate, Experimental, Trillogy, Oblivion, Ying Yang and Cybrationz and especially to all the Staff (inc Hatchet Harry) who have made Destiny into the family atmosphere it is. Big up to the Hype-R, also known as Paul, who built this site for free and has worked like a trojan, if you see this man buy him a drink.

We opened Destiny, as a described by a drunken MC Ollie at the last two Frenzy's, by raising as much cash as we had and ploughing it into the club. We didnt have enough to buy the place so got a sub lease for 1 year with an option to buy at the end. The idea was that once the club had been running it would have raised enough to purchase the lease. It was a risk but we had to do it. So last monday we handed in our notice on the lease and we will be leaving with massive regret after one year !!!

Now if anyone has a spare £100k and would like to own 49% of a mental club please pm me and we'll chat. Also if 100 people have a grand please let us know. Any other ideas to raise £100k would be grateful.

Now all that have been to Destiny know we can put on a party, so just imagine what are closing down month is going to be like, book every monday off work till the 9th May as Destiny are going out with a bang to beat all nuclear explosions (if anyone has been to a Destiny after party you'll know what i mean, and expect some break dancing from the Organ donors and Destiny Management).

Its been the best year of my life and i have enjoyed every moment, we are gutted but Destiny will never Die.

It is your Destiny.............(well till the 8th May anyway)
Wounded!!
