I am a definate speed freak - 160+ for much of the older stuff I've written.

Started a Herd-techno tune the other day at 158 (an attempt to slow it down a bit) and then dropped it further to 150 today and it definately sounds chunkier...

Any speed will do me. It's a lot more interesting to hear (and to play) a set that goes up and down in tempo though.

i usually stay between 130 and 140. on rare occasions i'll push it to 150, but only with more minimal stuff.

i don't mind hardcore at 180+ but stuff in the 160-170 range pisses me off.

My last set in U60 I started at 129 bpm and went all the way to 172 and back down to some 146

I've never had so much fun mixing a set

Most of the stuff I've been looking at has been 140-150ish but it really depends on how I' feeling.

I prefer 140-143 for techno and for hard techno I prefer 143-150BPM.
