    Does anyone know an email capture function for a mailing list box on a website. preferably free

    You mean have an input field that saves the data to a file?

    Do you want it to be flash saving to text? Php to text? Php to SQL? Or are you after an all in one solution that will also mail out to the complete list for you?

    I just want a box where people can put in their email address and it will send it to me.

    Create a form with method of 'post' and action as 'mailto:xyz@abc.com'

    Thats off the top of my head, so check it up to be sure

    never tried that, but wouldnt that just popup the users e-mail client (outlook for example)?

    Im not sure with the "post" command, that method might work.
