yeah i do, imo ther eare 2 types of scratching, the turntabalist (eg scratching to hip hop or turntabalism, crabbing and using other crossfader techniques) or scratching to hardcore, which inded uses the vinyl more than hte crosfader, when i have my pc back in my room il give mp3 samples od the both, im not so good at scratching to hip hop speed tracks as my fader is getting crap and crackily but scratching the hardcore way i find ok, basically using the vinyl moving it forewards and back realy fast with different patterns and using the fader to slowly chop it up, if i can realy be arsed, il try and video a bit on my webcam haha

Scratcvhing wise I listen to Jerome Hill and end up realising that I'm so far from even sounding like he could manage that I feel sad.

started to teach myself. i bought a P Love dvd, it's ok to explain the technical aspects of scratching but the best way I've found is to keep practicing, eventually you'll pick up a few tricks and then it'll grow from there.
Get some good scratch material, DJ Rectangle volumes are quite good or even just old pop records or film sound tracks.
I've been practicing to HardStyle, making up melodys that fit the tune, i've found the faster the music, the easier it is to scratch too, but I think that's maybe down to the way I've been scratching, using the record more than the fader.

!!! POWER TO THE PEOPLE !!!
Scratching's pretty difficult to learn. The best way is to keep watching those DMC videos and trying to immitate what they do. There's also a fairly good basic tutorial in the "How to DJ Propley". Some scratch's place most emphasis on the fader action, obviously other stuff relies more upon how you manipulate the vinyl with your hand.
I've bin teaching myself 2 scratch 4 a bit using both vinyl and cd and have found using my cdj1000 4 scratching is easier than a deck as there is no needle to jump if u apply 2 much pressure.
Anyone ever heard one of Mark N`s sets?
