i only get hold of a handfull of tracks these days and i try to keep them to myself as they take me so long to find!

takes me hours finding good tunes, posting them up on here so it takes someone 2 secs to get hold of a little gem aint worth it! as there honestly is a drout in good hardtrance !!

with it lacking so much posting all my good tunes on here would make me no better than any other dj as they would have the same tunes as me

    sad really

need loads of new stuff producers

I know what your saying mate, and I do enjoy reviewing and feedback info on tunes. People aren't keen on me doing this, not just on here but I get stick from mates too as they don't want the tunes they are buying to be common knowledge amoungst the DJ's as it hands over the tunes I've worked hard to find to someone else who hasn't been searching at all.

I can see there point, but I miss doing little reviews of tunes.

if there was loads of stuff comming out it would be ok cause you could not get your hands on all of it

Mate, there isn't enough coming out to keep things sneaky at the mo! If people are not buying what little there is, then there won't be much more! The hard trance needs plugging and pushing to people. Get a scene interested again. Either that or its all aboard the Hardtrance Titanic and bon voyage!

i agree with si. i havent posted on here alot recently and it's not because i don't want to talk about the good shit, it's cause i havent had time. i do think the attitude of keeping tunes to yourself is not the right one though. no offence. i've even seen some dj's stick their own white labels over releases to stop ppl seeing them.

at the end of the day, if you're truly into this and pushing the scene and music forward, you'll be buying the right shit and you don't need to be copying someone elses tracklisting. places like this forum are to get all excited about releases, not to worry someone is copying your record box. god, if i was worried about that i'd have stopped writing for magazines years ago and certainly wouldn't have set this forum up.

i mean just look at the acid techno or techno forums. new releases are mentioned all the time. ok i know, there's more techno our there than hard trance at the mo but you can see how talking about the releases is the key to everyone getting buzzed up. perhaps we can get that back here a little more????? would be great to see....

yep, and even if you do let everyyone know your tunes, how many djs on here can say they've been to a club and heard a dj play an identical set to them? not me for one. Think how many tunes are out there, everyones bound to have different tastes, so it doesnt matter how many are reviewed on the board imo.

i agree in someways and others not!

i do post tunes up on here alot of the time and reply that ones that have been posted, i would not eva go as far as covering up a tune with a white label tho or nothing like that

it would be ok for you mark as you are already an astablished dj, but for someone like myself the few tunes i do find that aint posted up on here i would like to keep to myself as i would be the same as any other dj and i would never get more bookings as they could just book someone else !!!

i agree tunes should be posted so we could get feedback and i do try to a lot of the time, but there is so little hardtrance at the mo......

You know how I feel mate, I hate the idea of keeping tunes sneaky and I never do as I feel it disrespects the producer and nobody has the right to control the music in that way, especially if they are playing it! - But I've had so many people unhappy that I'm talking about new tunes they've also just bought that I got fed up with it...

I love discussing tunes and doing little reviews.

I agree mainly with Luke Kendall....

Theres not enough about to be shouting about stuff you find...

Plus most of the stuff I'm playing now isn't hard trance ...mainly techy, trancy shit...
