    Default setting up a label

    just curious

to all the label owners out there,

how many tracks should i have ready to show distributors before they may even consider it?

Also can you guys name a few decent distributors in techno in europe??

    thanks!!

Also, what do distributors look for in a label?

Quality of music would obviously be the priority, but is it true that they can get very pushy about deadlines?

How many releases do they expect you to release annually?

    cheers

If your financing the project yourself, then all rules are down to you.
If you are looking for a P&D, then in my opinion, you`d be better off sending your demo`s out to other labels, cos P&D is shite.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?
