Hello,as i'm fairly new to the scene i'm trying to get people's opinions on hard trance labels/producers to look out for on the hard trance scene and how they think the scene is progressing. Personally i've heard a lot of top quality stuff on Tracid, overdose etc. but noticed a lot of overabuse and flagrant poaching of the tracid style (acid nightmare) drum loops and the hennes&cold baselines. Tracks that have really got me going are:-

-UNIX - another day (need it!!)

    -ASYS - acid headcracker

    -ACID STEP - Lazy

    -Schwarzen Puppen - Schwarzen Puppen

    -MYSTIC DJz - Apollo 14

Just wanted other people's opinions on labels/tracks and the general state of hard trance.....

    Cheers m'dears....

There is a lot of really bad hard trance around at the moment, due to a lot of band wagon jumpers making uninspired tracks. It's giving hard trance a bit of a bad rep from those not in the know, some are liking it towards hard house i.e as a simple genre.

It doesn't help that a lot of stuff is getting labeled as hard trance when it's really just hard house in a bad disguise, UK stuff mainly like Lee Haslam tracks and most Tidy Two stuff.

As a result, the good tracks are becoming a lot harder and darker - never a bad thing! As Hakka says in another post, you need to look to Italian stuff for the best tracks around at the moment, and they've got some wicked hard trance dj's too, like Lady Dana, Technoboy and Pavo.

I agree Voorheez.... I have noticed a load of crap Hard Trance recently and the Tidy thing where they've been buying tunes already released on the smaller labels i.e. jumping on the bandwagon.... I remember first hearing hard trance only about 18 months ago and thinking how hard and techy it was... Thomas Trouble - Insane Asylum UNIX - Mindblowing speed.... loved it.... don't hear so much of that sort any more... but if its out there could someone point me in the right direction..... is that what the Italian stuff is like?

To be fair though The Tidy Two release of The Riot Brothers - Ripped out/My star control was awesome!!!

Sounded like the Hard Trance of the 95-97 era, which im my opinion was the best ever!
    Welcome to the Darkside!

Allright there mate Just wondering if you are the same guy that sent a few hard trance cd's to my mate. His name is warb and he is from St.Helens.

He said he knew you from some message board.

If you are the same guy then let me congratulate you for the two stunning mixes that I have heard. Nice selection of tunes very smooth mixing. Have you done any gigs b4?
