Default akai 5000 / scsi issue

I have a 2gb ultra scsi internal hard drive that I want to fit to my akai 5000.....but unless I have misplaced it I can't find the section in the manual that describes wether these two are compatible. The connection on the drive seems to be the same as the connection on the back on the akai i.e. for an external scsi drive, however the internal scsi connector seems much bigger, although still 50 pin I think?

Atm the akai pro site seems to be down, so I am none the wiser. Has anyone fitted one of these, and if so presumably I need some kind of adaptor / special cable?

    any help would be appreciated

Are U sure the internal is a Scsi 2 connector (ultra SCSI)?? I remember the bigger ones (but I think with less pins) were Scsi 1...?

If this is the mistake just get this simple converter from IOMEGA... I used 2 have 1 for my S5000 but I used it 4 a external ZIP 100 drive (scsi 1)..
