The point is, this is the problem with techno.
Producers who make a loop, and ride it out for 6 mins.
That`s what loop grooves are for.
How hard is it to add proper variation, or builds, or some change?
To me this kind of production is 1 of 2 things
Lazyness
or Lack of ideas.
Sorry to be blunt, but patting each other on the back isn`t gonna improve a very stagnated scene, and people need a kick up the arse to stop doing things like this.
The excuse of, oh, it`s designed for DJ`s, it`s pointless, and a cop-out.
If you are looking to sell records. About 10-20% of what you sell will actually go to gigging DJ`s. The rest go to the other music lovers. The music should be made for them also.
How hard is it to make a loop tune.
Build a few layers of percussion, use some obvious hook tricks with the beats.
Add one repeating, nagging synth, and a ride cymbal now and again.
3 hours work? 4 hours?
