But look at it this way.

everybody has the means to produce these days.
The technology is readily available and pretty cheap.
So every techno DJ under the sun is making tunes.
70% of the stuff made is just static loops.
70% of the stuff released is just static loops.
Sales are dropping and dropping and dropping.
Ask yourself this.

Does my tune stand out from the records in my box?
Will this tune be used as a 30 second snip in someones mix, and then never be used again.
Aspiration is all important.
No one should aspire to be mediocre.
And no one should be self satisfied. You can always do better.
If you are serious, then you should want to stand out as an individual.
If you just want to be the same as everyone else, then go buy some nike trainers, some levi jeans, a Gap T shirt, and join the other clones.
