the 2 hd's are really the one. ie; it shows your actual physical hard disk (toshiba) and then the volume mounted on it (macintosh hd). try and repair the macintosh hd.

i'll have a little think about what else it could be and get back to you.

in the meantime, see if you can get a copy of diskwarrior, i think its by alsoft.
that fixes most mac issues. jus dont be tempted to use norton or any of that crap.
