    Afternoon all......

Has anyone seen Vortex play recently..... cos i've seen him a few times in the last couple of months and he's been playing kind of tech-house or something!!.... it makes quite a change at stuff like North and Hindsight.... quite enjoyed it... along those lines i also went to Lunatec in a quarry near Exeter which was pretty much just a full-on hard trance night except for Jamie Rainbow who played what I was told was Progressive House!!!.... but it was a blinding set and everyone I know who went thought it was quality..... is this to be a continuing trend?.... 'cos it definitely makes things more interesting....

well i've heard loads of 'big name' progressive djs etc. and been bored to tears.... but jamie rainbow totally showed 'em how to do it right (not that any of them would have been watching!!)...it was banging and groovy and interesting all at the same time!!.... fair play to vortex too who has played some blinding different sets recently....

Yeah I quite enjoy progressive house sometimes for a change, Ive got a couple of Dave Seaman global underground cd's and they are quite good to listen to. I'll be at the next North at Lakota so be quite interested to see how his set works.

    Vortex is a quality DJ.

Plays a nice mixture of Trance and Techno. Educate the crowd a bit more.

Don't like the term 'Tech House' he's used on the North flyer though. Sounds really naff and sounds like a pigeon hole name some Mixmag journalist made up.

realise that Dj Vortex who plays at North was same person who helped do tracks like "Follow Me" and "Incomming!".

That's pretty good achievement for thim though, and I thought his set at my last North event was very good.

Nah! It's a different Vortex to the one that plays at (and runs) North

A lot of people do get confused with the two though!

The 'other' DJ Vortex is Italian and works on the Stik label

    Hello Mate

I also went to that lunatec thing and **** knows how I was still awake at 6 am but I heard Jamie Rainbow's set. I did think 4 play were fantastic then to hear some prog at the end sent me to sleep in the corner.

They aren't doing any more lunatecs either! It's a shame there should be more outdoor things all over dartmoor and southwest

    HOW MENTAL WOULD THAT BE

    I'll shut up now.
