erm been a while since ive used cubase but have you set your audio channel that you're importing to as a stereo channel?? if not it might be bouncign down to a mono file as its imported.. also is there an option in teh import window to uncheck import as mono?

simple i know but most problems usually are..

    or am i being simple?

interleaved, puts the 2 recordings together. so ya just get 1 stereo. and mak sure its not on mono like said before. should just beable to switch it to stereo when you get the bounce optoins come up.... and interleaved joins the 2 stereo together
