Default The mixes that blew your mind.

Tell ya what .. I'll put my money where my mouth is..
This mix rocked me when I first got it back in 2001.

    Hell it still kicks ass.

None other than the man himself, Mr. Hawtin during his Decks, FX and 909 tour.

Essential Mix 2001-04-22 - Richie Hawtin, Live at Sankey's Soap, Manchester

Grab it fast cuz I don't know how long I want to keep it up... its 164MB.
PLEASE don't stream it. Download it. :)

    hi guys.

i'm gonna have to say: -

Hawtin & Villalobos at dance valley this year. i was lost in the music and rhythms and heard the most advanced stuff ive heard to date. the tracks and mixing was just so none-lineor. wen richie was mixing the tracks just came from nowhere, the base cuts were coming from nowhere and the beats seemed to be constantly evolving. and i'm sorry vinyl lovers..the laptops are coming to get ya  obvisouly the technology has been here for a while but it was always seen as uncool and people found it hard to relate to wen seeing sumone set up a laptop etc, but i think the 'apple' logo is becoming sumwhat of a cool status and thats all this technology needs to finally kick it into gear. i don't care what its played on as long as it blows peoples minds, rocks the dancefloors and keeps ELECTRONIC MUSIC alive. and if its gonna go this way then roll on the parties! vinyl will never die because even if it aint in the upfront clubs it will still be in vinyl lovers bedrooms or at smaller parties etc.

and the most mindblowing thing of all is that there were more girls grooving to the music than us lads. and wen ur dancing along to the most advanced electronic music you love at the minute and are surrounded by beautiful women... it really is special. and what a character villalobos is. you can tell he's up his own arse and on coke but thats sumhow the charm of him for me.

    sexy techno yum yum
