i have tons of drumcode records...and what i hear is several similar types of songs, not necessarily the same loops. with that evidence, i am more inclined to believe glenn, who has insider knowledge, than take the word of a couple people who do not.
but again, like i said...put the links up, or cite specific records...if it's that obvious, i will change my tune on that one...though only as far as the drumcode goes.
besides, what is implied here is that the entire body of work by swedish producers of that era can be boiled down to a conga loop, and that's just not true. maybe that's where the pisstake comes in...hope so, cuz it's a pretty daft statement if meant seriously. in how many tracks did cari lekebusch use ANY tribal loops? cari was been one of the most innovative and different producers of the mid-to-late 1990s, and his stuff just ain't tribal at all. his sh*t from those days is lightyears more innovative than virtually anything in hard techno today.
and for adam, what conga loop did he use in his records on svek or loop or rotation from that era?
what about alexi delano or jasper dahlback, who were making techno records at the time? were they using this master loop? hard to argue that one...
