Hi, how do I stop Sound Forge from inserting silence at the start and end when saving an audio file?? Never had a problem with this before, just all of sudden started doing it and can't find out how to switch it off....

my guess is that you're saving as an MP3 file (the drop down menu on the save page). this happens with me too, but i always record my main files as WAV. mp3 is fine for sending to mates etc via the net, but you definitely want to be saving as WAV. you wont get the silence for sure then.

Yeah normally I would save as WAV for obvious reasons and I think thats why I haven't come across this problem before, in this instance files were given to me in mp3 format for editing so I thought I would just save them as the same format/bitrate etc.... Cheers Mark
