Default a cheap PC i can buy

    1.6 P4
    133mhz bus
    f*** all Ram - SD (128mb i think)
    maybe a 40gb HD

    €100

what i want to know is, if i bother with this, is it just going to wreck my head in time to come, SDRAM is getting on in years and is now more expensive than DDR even tho its slower.

1.6 Ghz is grand for the time being but there are machines much more powerful at the mo. i have other HD's and stuff and can get RAM.

anyone any idea how upgradable this may be across the board?
100 snots is nothing if you think about it but.....

    what yiz think? would ye?

It's hard to tell without knowing the motherboard make to be honest. A shit motherboard can really impact on your performance but you may be able to fire a new one in with a faster bus and get more out of it.

think it might be best to build your own mate if you can. It not that hard really.

I built myn for bout £400, thats without the monitor. And ive got a pretty decent motherboard, AMD64 3500 +, 512mb ram, ATI Radeon graphics card and a mad looking case with an alien head on it, his eys light up up blue when i turn it on.lmao , Also bought 200 gig hd and a power supply.

prices for parts are getting cheaper by the day.
