He's hit or miss it seems.

He's absolutely awesome when he tries, but its all about getting him to try, or to bust out one of his rehearsed performances (where he tends to do most of his deck wizardry/scratching).

As a producer he's also hit or miss, I don't really like the noisy clanky chicago sound, but Bang the Box on Colums of Knowledge was a good tune.

Saw him at pure filth in Notts a couple of months back, I had no idea what he was like before then and he absolutely tore the place apart - incredible.

You should still be able to download the set from the site as well: http://www.pure-filth.org/music.html

No idea how long it's going to be before he comes back over the pond though unfortunately...

seen him in belfast. scratchin was second to none, but.. imo, cheesier than f**kin Dairylea trade show..

    imo

as for his productions.. every one the same. chicago bangers are good here & there, but thats all he does.

ive had words with one of the Jackstar crew over this before.. wankers ;)

well each to his own perpetual...if you don't like then don't do.....easy enough.....I've never really got the dj rush / dj bam bam stuff, just seems like extremely simple hard 909 patterns....and not a lot else repeated endlessly....or am I missing something?

get over it. everybody has opinions.. and as much as it might kill to admit, we are all entitled to our own opinions.

ive stated before that BB is 110% at what he does. its just not all to my tastes.. and i aint the only one so get over it.

where ya out patting me back when i was bigging up his 12s ? i think not. but your straight in with the attack...

i dont dj or partake in the belfast techno scene. dont mean i dont have an opinion

You sound very bitter you know...

all I asked you is what did it acheive "Having words with the Jackstar wankers"
and that I thought you'd given up (i.e. given up techno and posting on this board)
How that can be construed as an attack I do not know...

And I'm not really bothered what you want to say about bam, you're right, fair enough if it's not to your taste, but to say you "had words with the jackstar wankers" sounds a bit silly really, what were you telling them, not to put out bams records?
sorry, but to me you just sound very bitter.....

Bam Bam at Filth was tremendous.

Fair play, have an opinion - but I agree with Mark, by all means say you don't like stuff, tell us why you don't like it even, but openly labelling all at Jackstar as wankers is a bit off.

Paul played here not so long ago, and he seemed like a lovely bloke to me. Top notch DJ too.
