you can doubt all you want bro, but a mini disc is CRAP quality. try using one for your masters and you will find out! the wave is SO INCONSISTENT when viewed on a spectragraph. a record will go smoothly up and down with round curves. a CD will go smoothly up and down with square curves. a mini disc will go up down and all over the place with no consistent curving. don't take my word for it. analyze the wave yourself and see. even the ear can tell the diference. listen to an MD and then a CD and if you still don't hear the tinny, flimsy quality of the MD compared to a dat or cd, then you should ask glenn for the number of that ears specialist
