I'd say not.
Fruity (especially the later versions) is a very mature product, and it has a massive user base. I get the impression the development team are very good - in the idealistic sense as well as in the "technically competent" sense.
I never really got it though.
The earlier version were terrible but I've not heard much compaints about quality in the newer versions.
I dont know why fruity has this stigma about it. Along side ableton, it has to be one of the most usefull, powerful and easy to use next generation sequancers. The sound quality is excelent aslong as you know what you are doing with it.
