in all honesty i hope he stays as he is a class player BUT there is no such thing as a 1 man team and 1 man is NEVER bigger than the club... if he goes he will be sorely missed as he is indeed a world class player and come of age through the last few seasons...
but if he does go we should get a very good price for him which can then be used to perhaps strengthen and give more depth to are squad...

im not arsed either way really,if he goes great we'l have a nice slice of cash,if he stays, great hes class.

but if he does go we HAVE to buy a world class player to replace him,no potential or gambles.

I´m not sure you can replace Gerrard no matter how much you pay, he is Liverpool through and through and wears the club on his sleeve. He has carried the club over the last couple of seasons, of course there arte Gerrard type players around the world but not sure they could put in 110% game in game out like Gerrard does.

If he went who would they be able to buy to replace him??

weve got as good (even better in my opinon) a replacment as u can get in alonso, then if we get a real class, creative player like aimar for instance,i reckon this would work better as a partnership.we still lack that 1 real crative player who can unlock defences.maybe benitez is thinking along the same lines.....?

Bit of a strange one this if he does go its gonna be down to his fukin agents pricing him out so they get a pay off from his transfer. We will see whats what over the next couple of days im beyond being bothered anymore.

On the other hand what goin on with this gonzales?????????????

Alonso seems very over rated to me, could be wrong, but I'd take Gerrard over him any day. And surely a little player like Aimar should play in between midfield and attack, not in the hustle and bustle of central midfield, especially in the prem.

alonso is a great player, one of the best midfielders in europe easy ,

and aimar is defo an attacking midfielder, couldn't see him doin a job anywhere else.

Ideally i would like to see liverpool sell him to chelsea and him score about 5 goals against them next season, or sell him to real and he flops and spends the season on the bench, that would piss him off.
