What do you mean by High pitched squelches?
Are you saying you think all hardstyle is like this?
Oh the snare drum , and the sqwaky synths !
Love hardstyle , but it does repeat a bit dunnit !
Producers listen up , lets get original !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try new things all the time and keep it alive and fresh !
There more samples out there than a snare drum , and eeekkk synths !
Hence we try not to use them in our tunes , keep it different !
you've just got to search harder for the good tracks now. which is always a good thing...

The high pitched squelchy synthy noises, than come on every 4 or 8 beats...Originally Posted by Sargent J
and yes i am sayin that 90% of hardstyle tracks use this formula! Is that a problem?
It is increasingly difficult too find a unique hardstyle tune now imo, dont think im wrong in sayin that?
Kinda like the route Titanic has taken personally. Nails.

But i think there is a lot of original hardstyle at the moment, yes maybe they all have the distorted kicks, drums, squelchy noises whatever on every 16 beats, but that doesnt make them all the same.
There are a lot of tracks that do seem to use the same formula but there are also ones that are quit original and unique..
Thats right if Temper Temper and Zatox can do it , !!!!!!!!!!!!Originally Posted by MARK EG
True mate, i agree. But i never said anywhere in my post "all hardstyle tracks". Speakin generally matey.Originally Posted by Sargent J

i wont name them, but so many good labels have gone a bit downhill recently!
for me its the bottom end. why oh why use the same bottom end on nearly every release. :?: some release are way ott and the low freq. drowns out nearly everthing
also i think that some hardstyle producers try too hard not to put melody in their production and at the same time they are trying not to make it too dark and it just becomes a strange not too uplifting, not too dark track that just becomes run of the mill!
dont get me wrong, i know for a fact that their is excellent hardstyle out there.
that why ive been banging on about dutch hardstyle so much lately. its fresh, medolic, usually has a hard bottom end(but not too ott) and the hi frqs. are so fresh and funky!!! :D
ive just been talking about this with my m8 the other day, its doing his head in aswell.Originally Posted by Paul Nisbet
It's still good when it's used innovatively though. The Altronik mix of Tronik - Sensational puts it to use in probably the best fashion i've ever heard.
ZX - Screamer is class use of it.
