i say this for the south west ravers in the place, as I'm not sure what the score is elsewhere in the country - what is happening to underground clubs in the region? soon there will be none left... first the monastery, then the country club and now the burston and enzo's, all closing down. what the @#%$ is happening? just as it seems the south west is making a name for itself in the hard dance scene, all the venues promoting it are getting bulldozered and turned into carparks so some fat, straw-chewing rednecks can polish their 12 bores in their pick-up trucks (i.e country club). this is really worrying, as a lot of the venues left (esp. in Devon) that are worthy of hosting decent nights are ones frequented by piss-heads who wouldn't know an uberdruck tune from a britney spears - exactly the sort of people that turn a decent night into a piece of wank. what does the future hold for the underground scene in the s. west...?
