or maybe a little pa system, i know the college i worked at had one, helped people learn to play at higher volumes and get used to club environments, was also used on road shows, commnuity events etc.Life is "trying things to see if they work"

There's a video of James Zabielia doing his thing on an EFX-500 and a couple of techy CD players that could be worth a look...what he can do on those things is pretty inspiring, and a large step beyond just beatmixing, yet not as involved as ableton (which might be overcomplication for some).
