CSKA Sofia coach Miodrag Jesic had no complaints after watching his side lose 3-1 in the first leg of the third round Champions League qualifier last night.
The Bulgarians have a huge mountain to climb to overturn the deficit at Anfield in two weeks time, but Jesic has promised his players will give it a go against the European champions.

"We set out to play an open game against Liverpool, but made two mistakes in a short space of time and it gave them goals," he said.

"It was hard to come back from that. Liverpool are the European champions and they took advantage of our mistakes, you cannot expect to win games when you do things like that against the best club in Europe.

"We felt we did OK, but Liverpool were the favourites before the tie and they are stronger favourites now in the second match. We will go to Liverpool and play with pride and do our very best, we will play with dignity."
