The Historic Lightship Frying Pan

Originally built in 1929 and now permanently docked
at Pier 63, along Manhattan's lower west side, the Frying Pan
is listed on both the New York State and Federal Registers of
Historic Places, as it is one of only 13 lightships remaining
from more than 100 built. The ship features a metal dance floor and
stage in the main hull as well as a fully staffed bar and a lounge area

In case anyone is unfamiliar with Pier 63 and The Frying Pan... it is one of the most unique and exciting venues in all of New York City.. and I am not just saying that!

Pretty much the party will be inside an old ship that once sank and was under water for several years...then it was raised back from the bottom of the ocean and now it is docked at Pier 63 in Manhattan ... Inside it looks like an Industrial wasteland!!! I cannot think of a better venue for undergound dance music or to have a party in... The sound in both areas is LOUD beyond belief!!! Also, there are dozens of rooms and cabins you can go through and explore... If you have never been to this place you need to see it to believe it.
