I personally feel you could have had more pure Hardstyle DJs, especially considering that this is the first time one of the large event players has allowed a room to be called a "Hardstyle" room. The major European Hardstyle DJs seem to have been ignored, maybe a name such as Deepack, Dana or Technoboy would have been more representative of the Hardstyle Scene???? Uberdruck, TG and Jon the Baptist will play more Hard Trance than Hardstyle IMO

It is representative of Bionic, we have had good feedback on the lineup, it is exciting and features Euro Hardtrance and Hardstyle and a step in the right direction of that style of music being featured at such an event, if all goes well and it is supported by people like yourself who claim to like hardstyle etc then it will grow and next time we can look at getting Dana Technoboy who have both played Bionic various times each in the past, Technoboy played as recent as our july 5th birthday event. U should stop being so critical and be a bit more supportive. Bionic is not just about the hardstyle djs we bring over but also about the great atmosphere created each night.

I thought you might see it as me being critical, but I honestly wasnt trying to do that. I know how rough it can be putting line-ups on, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, it is just that I thought that this is the first time there has been a Hardstyle Room at one of the big events, and done right then it should help the Hardstyle scene throughout the whole of the country grow onwards and upwards. Jon doesnt play any Hardstyle (as far as I know anyhoo) so someone who wanders into the "Hardstyle" arena at the event when he is playing having not really experienced any of the music will probably hear Hard Trance, and therefore base their decision on whether they like Hardstyle more on that than actual Hardstyle tunes.

I myself actually think that Bionic is doing good things for Hardstyle in the UK is a step in the right direction, you have built up a superb following for yourselves and deserve the right to take on the challenge of taking the scene to a Wider Audience. Maybe the arena should be called the "Hard Trance and Hardstyle" arena???

One last point..... "supported by people like yourself who claim to like hardstyle"..... www.geoffnugent.tk supports my "claim" ;)

does it really matter what the arena is called really? I doubt very much that there will many people at a slammin vinyl event who dont know what hardstyle is.

Class line up, you guys should be thankful for what you have. There isnt much chance of those kind of line ups ever being on in scotland these days.

and to add, geoff and im not having a go, just puttin across my very different opinion, surely most people who say walk into the arena at the start, and hear hardstyle, then they stay for the next dj or two, who also play hardstyle, realise its getting a little bit boring, decide that what was fun for the first couple of hours, is just getting tedious now. Would that not be worse? I reckon hard trance helps hand over to hardstyle so well, it lets it display the full power of the sound.

There isnt enough forward thinking and exciting new hardstyle imo to fill a whole night, same goes for hard trance imo. A mix of both from good djs in both scenes will give a better impression no?

    good comments Paul,

Geoff, thanks for the reply, it did seem a bit critical, we are pushing the sound of Bionic and the sound of hardstyle is part of that, perhaps you are right in saying the arena shouldve been called hardtrance and hardstyle as both genres are covered, we did not decide this though.
We hope you will be able to attend and support this as fair play to Slammin for opting for a hardstyle/euro hardtrance arena and taking the chance.
We are firm believers that there needs to be some sort of progression in a night and the djs we have on the bill will make this happen, flat out hardstyle allnight may get a bit mundaine.

ave u ever been 2 a major event in holland.if so then u wud understand wot i mean.jumpstyle on a really loud sound system is unreal + it creates a party atmosphere. If Q-dance r hosting an arena sumwere (eg innercity) it will go from jumpstyle 2 hardstyle 2 hardcore - dats da way 2 do it.

gud on ye's bionic u r providing a platform 4 hardstyle in da UK - I appreciate that.

yeah thats cool, its good to see a proper debate on hardstyle happening ;)

everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I do see the point in having HT & HS in that the room is built up and having HS-HS-HS all night would get quite mundane, but only for the UK crowd, it CAN be done as those caraaazy dutchies have showed us. One day maybe the UK will be ready for it????

I guess my initial concerns were because I WANT the UK to be ready for it NOW!!!!!

If it can be done in Hardcore Arenas, surely it COULD be done in a HS Room???? You dont see them popping a different genre in the middle of the night, just to keep it from getting "Mundane"???

I think i mite mate my first ever bionic, gonna delay my visit to jons hopefully to come to this.

And nimo, imo it doesnt matter where you hear jumpstyle for me (in a very negative way i guesss, but its how i feel) is baws. It takes everything that is good about hardstyle, and discards it.

Rubbish, no energy, agression, bassline!! lol. Sorry peeps.
