    Default dumb question but cant find an answer for it!

    does Logic 7 support standard VST and VSTi plugins...provided they are for mac?

    you'll need fxpansion AU wrapper to wrap the vst's and make them appear as audio units in logic. doesnt work for all vsts tho especially free ones

    seems like a pain in the arse lol.

    would cubase be an easier route to take?

    hmmm...

    I want to use contact, but a friend of mine told me that it could only be plugged via VST only.

    if you mean Kontakt that is not the case. Kontakt comes in VST, AU, RTAS, and DXi formats.

    if youve set your heart on logic, then i wouldnt recommend cubase as a substitute. it doesnt really make the grade in my opinion
