Ok, finally got round to starting something new again. This is more straight forward than my usual stuff. Its still in the early stages, so any input would be most aprieciated -

This is quality.
I really like the sound that comes in at around 28 seconds and gives everything a very floaty groove.
Good noises that all work together well.
More like this please...
I'd definitely play it if our CD deck ever turned up...
Assuming that was ok, of course. ;)
Yeah Dano Likes to use that synth sound as well. Cool stuff Q, I'm really liking this. As always quality work man. As said before, please give us some more like this.

enjoying this, feel breakdown at 1.44 could work better but the transition sounds smooth enough. like the sample as well!!
Not my fave of yours mate, would deffo work a dance floor tho.
Productions not up to your usual standard either but im guessing this aint finished.
Like the synth(not the lead type one the one that comes in with the vocal and after the vocal break)
 where the **** did you find that vocal sample.
I know what your shits like so this is prob going to turn out sweet.
keep us posted please.
Thanks for the comments people. I decided to completely strip the track down again to the kick and bass, then i worked on it and made a new track out of it. I think this is a lot better now. Its a lot harder, darker and more mechanical.
It still needs a lot of work doing, but you should get the idea -

Both versions are coolio...2nd pinches it though![]()
DL now will check it later ;)
Very nice and I really like the direction your heading with this mate
With the 1st one my main gripe is the key changing synth as it doesnt really capture my imagination and tends to just carry the original ideas along. I think, knowing your technical knowledge in drum construction, that you can come up with something better
With the second one I think that sounds nice untill all the hard high drums come in. When they do it sounds a little too overcompressed into the kick and there sounds like theres something wrong with the ride. I would listen to some speedy J and compare it
Setting that aside I think this is one of my fav's
P.S I have that sample from the 1st one and Im very tempted in making something with it (reminds me of a similar incident with a vocal sample I 'borrowed' off you ;)
Hahahaha! Ive got an idea. Why dont i come down to yours and we can do a track with that sample in together ;)Originally Posted by The Divide
I would be up for that, only thing is I aint too good with fruity loopsOriginally Posted by IQ
We'll do it in cubase man.
Maybe i'll sequance some loops in fruity, but do the main bulk of the work in sx..
Sounds like a deal then ;)
2nd version smashes the 1st. loads more power, though there were some intersting ideas in the 1st one. nice work....
Like the 2nd one best. Only the part that comes after the voice could be a little more subtile...that's what I like so much about the first part!
Nice work.
This sounds much better now mate I prefer the vibe and the samples great.
i just listened to 2nd version, and sounds good.love the vocal, and all the atmo sounds around.. production sounds good to me. would like to hear finished version..
