If you get a Dr Dre track and run it into soundforge its heavily mastered/maximised. Looks like a block, I think why it reminds you of techno is the percusions realy dirty and the drums stand out and repeat as loops. Quality music all the way.

Dre is an absolute master... everything he touches turns 2 solid gold!!
another thing I admire is the way he can grab a certain artist an give him a very particular sound... so basically this man can go a millino diferent ways and they're all A class!! Major respect!!!
The mastering/ Mixing is just MASSIVE (but I would risk saying it works a lot better 4 the house/ car/ Ghettoblaster than in a proper club PA!)..

dre is a an excellent producer, when he was in world class wreckin kru was his best productions imo.
hip hop producers wise, you will never beat timbaland, he can make some good beats.lol the trance has gone

I use to listen to dr. dre's productions, I haven't recently, most definitely agree that he is a man with skill, though.
