well the idea is 30min sets........on the night!
we had our 1st 1 last weekend, and worked real well......just need more dj's now!

30 min sets a a bit short mate to be fair you dont get to get in your grove within that short space of time techno sets should be a hour + all the time , im even scrapin hour sets @ my nite and goin to 90 min sets

the idea of this 1 is to open it up a little to new dj's / live acts etc .....2people played there 1st ever club set last satday:-)

Don't get me wrong. I hate short DJ sets. I prefer extended 2 hr+ sets but in a situation like this I can do some damage in 30 mins. Short sets in a situation like this makes the DJ give em what he/she has got and put it all on the line. We did a similar concept at an open turntable night back in the States called Trainwreck Tuesdays. Worked out well. We discovered a lot of new and talented individuals. As a result some of these "bedroom" DJs ended up getting regular bookings. Good stuff.
