Same here man, think the hard trance scene might need to take a step back a few years and re-think.

Ive read on so many ocassions on this forum over the years that theres nothing good coming out anymore within hardtrance and Ive always disagreed very strongly but unfortunatley this time i'd have to agree.

The problem seems to be that all the labels that are releasing at the moment are either hardstyle labels or ex-hardtrance who have crossed over to hardstyle which sucks serious ass.

As everyone keeps saying most of the stuff that is coming out sounds like UK Hardtrance i.e. tired and stale which must mean that the ideas have dried up.
That doesnt mean it'll last, just look what happened when hannes & cold brought out Second Trip all them years ago. It brought about a whole change in the entire sound and direction of hardtrance which has lasted for around 5 years now, all it takes is for one producer to come along with a fresh idea and direction to spark the new way forward.
As Djs we've just got to keep searching for that.

im finding quite a bit of good hard trance recently, havent bought owt this month coz i have 2 save for me holiday, ive just sigend 2 hard trance tunes for me label, its still there, i think a lot of people nowadays call everything hardstyle so it all falls under that catergory, doesnt have to be uplifting to be called trance. back in the day t'was easy to call something a genre, now theres so many crossovers its impossible to say its just one style... going full circle me thinks!

Yeah 2002 was the last year where it was really really good stuff. Still get good releases now and then but the days of many ground breaking productions in the hard trance market is behind us. Kamui I really like and of course JTB, but it's more techy stuff (Jowan) that I like of late. I think Hard Trance will come back, seems Tracid Producers are now free to do some more with Traffic Tunes & Druck.

its all about innovation and regenoration.... ive still got loads of fresh ideas and ive never been one to say somethings dead.... its either keep up witht the times or get the pipe and slippers out, i know what im doing keeping my faith in the hard trance (because thats what most of my sets consist of diluted with either techno/hardstyle/gabba). your set is whatever you make it so long live da nu-style !!!

i dont think a music genre can ever die out when theres people who love it as much as me... i think the hard trance producers have kinda lost direction a bit and theres a lot of floundering around going on.

i love hard trance, and have loads of mates who do too. theres just no decent hard trance night anywhere that isnt actually hard dance with bk/ed real etc playing.

if im ever good enough to play out im gonna try my hardest to put on at least one proper german hard trance night somewhere (not the fridge, obviously altho that would be amazing!) so that i can have a night listening purely to the kind of tunes i wanna hear!
