Default **** Speedy J New Album **** The man is GOD.

I realy don't know what to say here. I've just had to stop the once car for fear of passing out and when I finally reached the end of the ablum I had to have 10 minutes to contemplate my whole life before I was in any fit state to move.

I really wasnt expecting this today. The album came through the door to review - Speedy J/Chris Liebing 'Metalism' and my day just went out of the window. I knew this was going to be good but NOTHING prepared me for just how good.

The production quality is unreal. Track 8 is so scary, your really in trouble and the last track almost eats your eyes out.

And before you ask, no I wasnt on mushrooms. But it certainly felt like it.

Everyone's gotta look out for this. It's techno at it best. Nuff said.

I was hanging out in the booth with Liebing here in NY last Saturday and for about an hour straight he was mixing cuts off the record. He kept pointing to it and saying "me and speedy, me and speedy"lol. Very pure pounding techno. Very Speedy J for sure. Explosive room rattling 909 snares and insane moments of antisipation with forklift style synths and lots of electrocution too ~~~~!

He was absolutely incredible at the Glade this year - I don't really have a clue about him to be honest but that set knocked my socks off.

Sound like I've been missing out...

Dont mean to spoil the buzz but are we talking about another Loudboxer type "BANGING" Speedy J album or is there more sublime stuff on it ala A Shocking Hobby.

Is it just one banger bangin after another? I know he's shit hot and all that but I dunno why he hasnt done some more stuff like A.S.H of late.

no it's not really hard as nails bang bang in my eyes and it's not another loudboxer. it's definitely a total cross between liebing and speedy j. but what i really like aboout this is jochem's really brought out the atmospheric and dark side of liebing. most of the tracks are 4/4 (apart from this ambient thing on Track 8 that nearly killed me), but it's just this whole metal mechanical side to it that just makes you want to screeeeam.

the production is incredible and you can tell this is more j on the mixdownn rather than liebing.
