DJ BONE'S SUBJECT DETROIT VOLUME 3 MIX CD tour lands in Liverpool - 'For
this CD Bone contacted some of his favorite producers and asked them to
create new productions for him to use on the mix. The result is an
entire mix of all new, unreleased songs from Aaron Carl, A Guy Called
Gerald, Ben Sims, Mark Broom, Juan Atkins, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Scan7,
Scan X, Futago Technologies, DJ Bone himself and many more. Mixed with
no edits.no computers.no CDs.just raw energy, soul, skill and
imagination'.
Special guest is Mancunian house and techno innovator Gerald Simpson AKA
A GUY CALLED GERALD. Master of Chicago house, Detroit techno, acid
house, electro, hardcore techno, and drum'n'bass, Gerald has contributed
to dance music's most important points. Simpson's first recorded work
was with fellow Manchester group 808 State. Simpson co-wrote one of the
group's biggest hits "Pacific State". Leaving the group in the late '80s
to pursue a solo career, Gerald's first hit was also his biggest "Voodoo
Ray", a tune every clubber knows by heart and made A Guy Called Gerald
the stuff of legend. Meanwhile in the lounge, SLUT provide more Voodoo
debuts from RITON - Grand Central's golden child. Riton dropped his
critically acclaimed debut LP 'Beats Du Jour' in 2001, described by The
Face as 'Circling house music, electronica and weird beats. Riton met
Ben Fat Trucker and formed the GUCCI SOUND SYSTEM and has a second lp
Homies & Homos out now. In Support are Phonica Recs' HEIDI & House DJ
extraordinaire ELLIOTT EASTWICK : Elliot's Djing career began in 1992 at
the infamous HACIENDA where he fell over his partner in crime MILES
HOLLOWAY. Elliott has been resident at HARD TIMES and ROBODISCO,
recorded under the guise 'SALT CITY ORCHESTRA' and for PAPER RECORDINGS!
He even has the notoriety of playing the last ever record at THE
HACIENDA! Class.

METROPOLIS take over the main room with Radio Ones GROOVERIDER: who is
returning to Liverpool with his Protoype tour in tow. In support and
co-headlining are D'n'B producers of the moment PENDULUM: formed mid by
three musicians from Western Australia, they have totally and completely
destroyed dance floors across the world with the current 'Slam' single
and remix of 'Voodoo people' - how apt! In addition just knocked up one
of the best Essential Mixes of the year. PENDULUM'S debut single for
BREAKBEAT KAOS, the epic 'Another Planet' backed with 'Voyager' made its
debut at No1 in the UK Dance Charts and reached as high as No43 in the
UK Mainstream Charts. Radio support has come from the likes of the late
great John Peel, Zane Lowe, Jo Wiley and Mary Anne Hobbes.
Further support comes in the form of the excellent MARK XTC(Valve), SOL
& PROPHECY and all the usual MC & DJ madness! Meanwhile on another
planet...ATOMIC JAM bring the techno with Advanced Records boss ADE
FENTON plus THE ADVENT Live. The Advent AKA Francisco Ferreira, kicked
his career off in style working as a sound engineer for Jack Trax,
engineering for Derrick May, Fingers Inc and Adonis. His other
engineering credits include work with Loose Ends, Bang the Party and
Shock Sound System (Ashley Beadle). In 1994 Cisco formed The Advent and
since then The Advent have released a series of outstanding EP's that
have combined the best elements of Electro and Techno, but always
generated music with a dance floor edge. A Halloween party of monstrous
proportions we think!

Hold tight for news of Voodoo's 12th Birthday shows in November and the
forthcoming Xmas & NYE parties....
