When I was big fan of Hardstyle, when it first started my fave 3 producers were:

    1. Davide Sonar & Julian DJ aka Psycho Hardstylers
    2. Radium
    3. The Trance Generators

My fave DJ's at the moment would have to be:

    1. Mark EG
    2. Cross & Spinout
    3. Jon the Baptist / Abyss (tied) :D

If Technoboy is on a downward slope, what is Scot Project on?!

Montorsi has made some cool stuff but a lot isnt all that great.

No disrespect to my main man Mark EG, but have you not heard any european DJs in other people's lists: the likes of Mondello and Prophet? Fair do's if you've only picked DJs you've heard live.

Not bein funny, but technoboy imo, is still not in the same league as scot project.

First i cant see anywhere that u stated this is a top 3 for this year????

In which scot project has released so many top tunes and remixes over the span of a few years, where as technoboy to the best of my knowledge hasnt been as prominent in the scene as scot project (i know bout his gius stuff aswell).

And before you come back with scot project cheese etc (Which i agree), i would say too you that you check the b-side of tales from a vinyl and his new dj gius tune with the renegade master sample in it... imo nothin short of GASH and the lack of ideas in his tune imo (i am a fan o technoboy like, but his last 3 or 4 tunes ave been very similer). Didnt mean too upset u, but u dont ask peoples opinions then when they are expressed..... try and take the piss.

:? Upset me? This is a msg board bro, the more debate the better!!!

Scot Project imo got lucky in that he rode on a tidal wave of HT popularity here in the UK. Technoboy has got just as much variety in his various aliases- he's not just Guis, but Atlantic Wave, Giada, Pacific Link, Tuneboy, Droid, K-Traxx.... the list goes on.

Scot Project's last few releases: Hands Up! (which was severely watered down for UK release), R (Rock), D (Outa Space), Visions Of Paradise, they've all failed to hit the same mark as his earlier, darker stuff. I adore Modem (scot mix), 2nd trip, club bizarre, U, O, etc... but this recent stuff is imo devoid of ideas. the D riff is straight from Urban Train, Visions of Paradise is Rank 1- awakenings.

Admittedly Tales From A Vinyl is utterely shite, but then he can go and make incredible stomping anthems like Citizen - Taunus, Pacific Link - Planetary Collapse, Droid - Rave Train. All these tunes are completely different, crisp, yet dirty as hell and full of ideas. He is by far the best Italian producer imo, and my favourite in the hardstyle world.

Did you know he produced all these different tunes? While stuff under Technoboy is most reknowned: Hardventure (Tboy mix), Tboy- Harddrive, Hose - Call It Hardstyle (Tboy mix)... it is his other aliases which make him my favourite producer.

Most of the stuff you mentioned there is produced by Luca Antolini aswell as Technoboy

    Why which stuff is Luca's?

Hope we dont get told of for this?! Surely a little critical debate is healthy?

Mate tbh, it doesnae really bother me, at the time i put that 3, and tbh its totally different now. But wat i will say is, that on both the scot project and technoboy arguments, i doubt one can come out on top, as both have had there fair share on bad and good.

But scot project didnt jump on the hard trance tidal wave, imo he lead from the front. His later releases where disappointin, but u are only tellin me wat i already know.

But if u r gonna say summit, u gotta explain it? Not just fire others down (how it came across too me).

All i said was Scot Project is on a worse 'downward spiral' than Technoboy. You say you already know Scot's latest stuff is crap- how did i 'fire you down'? But forget about it bro, I know i aint been here long i know maybe it seemed kinda cold, but dont take anything i say too seriously :)

djjaym>> I didnt know Tuneboy was a collaboration... can you post a full list of Guisberti and Antonlini's aliases etc..?

yeah ur rite, its a debate that wont get settled, but scot project did reach the heights too fall down from tho. Technoboy hasnt quite YET.

And on the mark of best hardstyle etc, the genre is reasonably new, so probs ave too wait a few years too find the true champs, if it lasts that long.
