Now days I don’t really see anything that impressive any more.
Been living in a bubble these days?
oh? from NYC and you do not agree? explain why not please:)
I think if you don't really see anything impressive (technically) these days you are not looking. The gear available to DJ's at the moment is absolutly amazing and there are alot of them out there taking advantage of that.

Even one's coming through NY, like Hawtin and Liebing. Maybe Hawtin doesn't play my favorite records anymore, but this thread is about Technical, and its brilliant to watch him, or Liebing play. And if you wanna talk house, Derrick Carter was at Spirit last weekend playing house on 3 decks like nobodies business.

Frankie Bones is a good DJ. He is not a very technical dj anymore, there was a time when he was but i havent seen him play on anything more than 2 decks with simple mixing in a VERY long time. What Hawtin does live and what Frankie Bones does live is 2 completely different planets.
