Not sure if you'll be able to get demos...

They're ROMplers, so they come with anywhere from 3 to 9 gig of sounds!

They also do "stylus", which is a drum rompler.

God I read Future Music too much...

I like BassStation right now for my basses.

Id like to check out Trilogy but i guess you goto have the whole gigs worth of a cd for it to work?

I cant get any thing on my computer at the moment im affraid tho ,havent even got the space to render one of my tracks down too an mp3

After a spring clean of my hard drive im going to check out the trilogy and Vstation.

Pffft! the discovery is bollocks compared to the nord...

And as for i needa a bass synth...

Any halfway decent synth will produce good bass sounds... it may sound terrible to say this, but you need to learn to program bass sounds. the problem isnt the synth, its how you use it.

having said this some synths SOUND better than others, but only cos their algorythims are better.

Get that technique down and you;; have much more fun.

Synapse Audio hydra (the new junglist) is excellent.
Also try the GMedia MiniMonsta
Korg Legacy
Superwave Pro
And the good old Mercury-1

All these synths give you fat analogue style bass.

And I wouldn`t bother with the trilogy, you might as well just use samples if your gonna use that, it`s just a rompler, and you really don`t get that much control. It`s for people who don`t know how to use synths.

dunno about pc but on mac my current favs are reaktor 5, v-station, and audiorealism bassline (just bought this and was more than worth the cash) but for sub and that i tend to use hardware as is bit more full in body.

Here's a shock...

Why not buy a bass guitar?

If you want pure deep and funky bass - learn to play.

(admittedly it wont give you a synth type sound unless you get a decent FX pedal..)

But boy oh boy those grooves are harsh and tough and deep n funky.

Id reccommend trilogy, allthough people have said bad things about it on here, they obviously aint spent enuff time on it to see its true potential. its the daddy if you know how to "handle" it correctly!! you can automate
"everything" quite easily in my experiance & as with every VSTi you dont necessary have to use the presets, theres 3gb of bass sounds to play about with, you can really do alot with that!!
also id reccommend Crystal, you can get some mean dark n nasty bass outta that.

the upside with trilogy is that is great for multisampled acoustic bass sounds. the downside is that it is just another rompler at the end of the day. If you want to synthesis then trilogy isn't that great, but if you want some pre made sounds then it is fine. Same with atmosphere, personally i'd choose absynth 3 over atmosphere.

Absynth 3 certainly seems to be the one if you're going to get a synth VSTi.
Closely followed by Reaktor, but only if you want to get really into the nuts and bolts of things.

Its not that im affraid to get stuck in on a synth and program my own bass patch(nothing could be further from the truth)
I just had a freind who told me how good jungleist would be for the way i use basslines(I guess he means subs under kicks)
so was wandering if there was anything that was usfull for bass.

I would love to get Reactor and Absynth 3 cracking :love:
Like I say tho I cant even render one of my tracks to mp3 at the moment due to hd space.
I keep getting an anoying pop up bubble telling me that my disk space is critical(that pops up at the most stupid times and makes playback of tracks glitch

)

Orbitone Three-O-Three for creamware cards is lots of fun. Not an exact emulation, mind you, but I think it's "acidity" would suffer significantly for being one.

Although most emulations allow distortion to be introduced, this also has a suboscillator slider, a filter-release slider, a filtertype switch and an overdrive button, all of which really extends the types of patches which can be made.

9 of them in unison running different patches off of the same MIDI signal makes for pretty phat, interesting acid...10 runs me out of DSPs. :)

I got a copy of Junglist which is pretty good too.

Uhmm.. good idea.. But I think we can spent less cash and have a good rentability with the last fruity loops version that has a vst included with emulations of any kind of guitar..
what makes the sound deep its the style of emulation we choose!
The funky part we need to know how to create a funky melody...
Bryan Cox and Angel Alanis are a good example of funky melody producers.. I think the musical notes we can base on its RE ,BIGGER RE, LA, bigger LA , MI , bigger MI!
I just think , I don't have sure.. But we can try to use them to know if it is true about funky sounds.

What kinda notes are those?

I got NIs Guitar Rig alittle bit ago, that program is sick for guitar FX!
