It is a wicked tune, but it does sound hardstyley mate, I mean most of the early harder-style stuff was real good its when all these other labels came out and released the ****ing shit stuff!

I would say this was was not hardstyle either... early hardstyle? maybe Anders & Klistchs (whatever it is!) - The Feeling or maybe Angel of Death, Sound Of Rock etc...

I recon Warmduscher - Pille Palle /Palle Pille would count as early hardstyle. Very much gabba orientated similar to modern hardstyle..

I remember when nothing was labled as 'hardstyle'.It was trance, be it uplifting or dark.

i think its just the difference in pitch that defines the two nowadays. i have heard nuff ppl call 'hardstyle' slowed down hardtrance.

i think i remember reading a post on germantrance saying that hardstyle is at the tempo (140ish) that the original hardtrance was produced at back in like 1992.

    Not at all.

Hardstyle has few if any 'trance' elements in it. Pitch doesnt really come into the equation imo, more the frequency (im talking 'how often', rather than 'ohms') of the FX & noises, and the style of percussion. lots of snares layed on top of the kicks in hardstyle - 'marching' style music i have heard it called :D

thats why most german dj's tend to opt for the more "marching hardstyle".

sorry to have to disagree with u corbzy-but- in general hardtrance is faster than hardstyle. no doubt

yeah my mixer has bpm counter and most of the time i hit out hardstyle at 150bpm but i like to pitch it up, my technics only go to plus 8, i here yogi whats his face wouldnt play at venue if the decks dont go to plus 16, when people talk about bpms they r talking at 0% if i played hardstyle at 140 or less my granny would love it ! i dont think you can band a music gene by bpm's. hardtrance can b faster and slower than hardstyle depends at which speed it was written !
    softley, softley, catchy monkey.
