Hmmmm. I honestly don't see why we'd need a whole new forum for hardcore production. The same techniques are covered in the techno production forum and, for the ones that aren't, there's no reason they couldn't be. Engineering techniques aren't all that subgenre exclusive.

We could just post in the techno production forum really. Johnny S is right though, techno producers tend to limit themselves more in a way it seems eg; no heavy edits etc... if you got a question or anything you could still post it in the techno forum though.. i know i read it alot.

The way you may cut up/arrange beats is the same actual technique as in techno. It's just an arrangement thing at that point. But, the tools are the same so the actual process is going to be the same. As for effects and the like, the same issues that come up in techno will come up in hardcore. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying there aren't some differences that couldn't be discussed. But, I just don't think there are so many to warrant a new forum where, now instead of having to check two forums for production tips, we have three. I find it kinda funny already that there is a trance production forum and a techno production forum. Compression, EQ, etc., in the end, don't care what type of track you are composing. But, I'm not gonna pretend to care that much if a new forum is created, particularly if people would find it useful. Always love to hear about new distortion or synth finds.

The technique of edits in `core is the same for techno or DnB really.

It would be easier to find the core files if we could post them on a sticky here though.
