Default Bring Back The Ambient Chill Out Room!

I remember in the old days of techno partying there always used to be the 2nd ambient chill out room, those rooms were soooooooooooooooo cool. There was nothing like a hard techno session then chilling out in the ambient room for a bit while surrounded by twisted magical sounds and lights whilst indulging on a spliff. Im sure they must still exist but been out lots and have always missed them...

i think alot of clubs got rid of these as it wasnt a room to help pull more people through the doors.

where as if you have a breakbeat room, or drum n bass room, people will come to the club just for that room alone
Life is "trying things to see if they work"

Finally getting around to updating my site

Yeah Ambient chill out rooms are the best! Only seem to get 'em at psy trance nights now.

I'd much rather have a breaks room than a chillout, unless the club was going on till like 8am, then you definetly need 1

Always used to buzz off a good chill out room. Gives a night out clubbing another dimension as well as giving people a chance for a breather so they can stomp harder.

Havent seen 1 for ages, bit of a shame really

ambient chill out rooms? i once did an ambient chill out room at dreamscape in the uk - 15 hour set!!! aphex, luke slater chill stuff, pete namlook, omg so much great music.

we had our own tent. i have to say i really think the ppl appreciated it. the tent was actually packed.

we need this back in techno i agree.

could this be a sign that ambient will find it's way back?? i mean for me this is all about cycles. we've recently had hard then minimal. so what's next? hehehe.. ambient.

oh i cant wait. bring it on!!! :)

I'm a fan of chill out rooms too - though if they're there I do tend to find myself sitting in them talking shite all night and missing most of the proper music...

    of course its proper music!!
its place where you can actually relax, chat and enjoy the music..

I remember those big raves in 94, 95 with one big banging hall, and another one with chill out music and big video walls with animations..ah sweat memories..

Yeah, of course it's proper music - I just meant that when I go out I'm paying for the main lineup rather than the randoms in the chill out room, who always sucker me in and make me spend my night sat there missing the music that was the reason I spent a tenner to get in the club in the first place.

Clubs arent the same without them and they are great for resting your ears and 'sledging'. A must have for all clubs!

The law is not the private property of lawyers, nor is justice the exclusive province of judges and juries. In the final analysis, true justice is not a matter of courts and law books, but of a commitment in each of us to liberty and mutual respect. - Jimmy Carter
