Site Breakers - Hash Fudge Dave Remixes - SUF Remix.

Another classic Stay Up Forever release this time from D.A.V.E. The Drummer and A.D. gets two well deserved remixes from Ant and Mobile Dogwash. First up underground legendary producer and Dj Ant gets to the core of the original and takes its infamous riff and trips it out over a heavy Techno beat that constantly digs into your head, a massive filter breakdown sets things up the for another round of tweaked out analogue madness. On the b side Mobile Dogwash, two lads from the north east who recently appeared on Stay Up Forever’s sister label Cluster and who have been cutting a name for themselves with their energetic live sets at their residency the legendary Headcharge night in Sheffield and across the country at various underground parties have produced an all out attack remix with fully loaded 303’s keeping with the feel of the original.

    Audio coming soon...

    Ant & Nick Grater - Mech-Anarchy - Powertools.

The Anxious - Live @ Circuito Vol #1 - Blackout Audio.

‘Live At Circuito Vol 1’ is the next chapter in the critically acclaimed Blackout Audio catalogue, featuring three tracks from the much-publicised Live PA by The Anxious (Planet Rhythm, Compound, Submissions etc). The story began last year, when The Anxious were asked to create their first ever Live performance for Brazil’s biggest techno promoters Circuito. Six months in the making, the set spanned the whole spectrum of hard techno, ranging from old party favorites to a whole range of brand new music. This EP features three of the best tracks from this breath-taking 60-minute extravaganza. ‘Para-Lama’ was one of the most popular tracks from the night and the demand for this to be released has been overwhelming. Taking influences from the early style of the Aphex Twin but bringing things bang up to date with a fury of techno percussion, this is peak-time dancefloor stuff but with a longevity that will outstrip most other tracks in the genre. Flip to the B side and here lies an absolute gem of a track in the form of ‘Evolute’. Deep, dark and rolling, the hypnotic groove gradually evolves into something that will leave any crowd on a knife’s edge, especially when the subtle breakdown erupts into an almost plane-like take off. ‘Angry’ ends the session, giving DJ’s the final bullet in this three-track armory of futuristic sound.

Ant & Chris Liberator - Bandsaw - Powertools.

Powertools is the defining London Techno label from producer Ant and has been championed by the likes of D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Andy Farley and DJ Rush now on its 30th release this label has still got what it takes to make fresh and exciting Techno. Ant teams up once again with the mighty Chris Liberator and they have produced one of the most exceptional releases to come out of the ever thriving London scene. The A side is a heavy weight number reminiscent of the early and hard UR releases like “The Punisher” and “The Sea Wolf” due to its aggressive analogue riff but in this case set over cool and tough looped up Techno beats and arranged with the deft style that only these masters of the genre can do. On the b side we have a big big groove with a brooding low slung riff and strange and curious spoken story about being made out of chocolate that will win points for its oddness and would be recommended listening for any Acid and K heads out there.

Chris Liberator & K.N - Bullet Train - Maximum Minimum

A special release from Chris Liberator’s Maximum Minimum Techno Label that’s built for the underground parties that are buzzing the sound that has been connected people the world manly thanks to the likes of Chris Liberator and D.A.V.E. The Drummer showing how you rock a party . Here Chris has teemed up with Tokyo Dj K.N. and “Bullet Train” was recorded during a recent tour of Japan at K.N.’s studio which has been responsible for some fine releases on Raw and Powertools. On the Max side we have version 1 of “Bullet Train” that kicks in with an infectious vocal set over a tough techno groove, then things really start moving with shape-shifting analogues and a brain burning breakdown. On the Min side the groove is turned up for a sweat down version 2 of “Bullet Train” that will defiantly be a must have for any “ave in it” Dj and has a darker edge that absorbs you in an instant.

Android - The Perfect Woman / City Life - Spartek

This is the debut label from Russian Dj Producer Android and what a release it is. Android has been living in Toronto for over ten years and set up his own recording studios called Samagon and from there he has produced Techno for the last five years for labels such as Apex, Cluster and Maximum Minimum. A long term friend of the Liberator Djs Android has become a popular Dj playing across Canada and more recently in Brazil thanks to his insightful club Techno style which can be heard on this release. First up “The Perfect Woman” is “throw your hands” up party Techno starting off with percussive driven beats and a dirty dirty gyrating baseline that works as the main riff, The filtered up percussion really starts to build until it drops a cool vocal sample and then its back in with those deft percussive beats . On the flip “City Life” kicks in with a tough percussive groove made up of a metallic riff that filters up for some down right evil drops, add to this a big synth riff that comes in at the last drop point and you have a powerfully built track that will give any sound system a run for its money. This release is defiantly one for fans of the sound of labels like Alchemy Intec and Sway.

Really liking the B-side on Powertools 30. The A-sides standard issue Powertools, but the B, utter madness! Sort of like the modern day Gift (DDR's track on Smitten). Proper mad sample and very different. Liking that LOTS!

Nice to see Android on new Apex one & sounds really good from samples, Powertools 31 with vocal "This is out" remind me vocal from kektex release on tec k - that what i luv! Rest releases sounds intresting but i prefer to have a listen full release from vinyl so my final conclusion will be when i get all of them.
