Dunno where it is, but there's a tutorial somewhere on the web written by Infected Mushroom about how to make your own kickdrums using a raw sine wave and a sample editor.

the rhythms bd vst makes some awesome psy style kick sounds
completely tweakable, so you should be able to sculpt something that fits...

Yeah, I read that one once, I've made a few, even went as far as making a synth to make them but still can't get the bastard things to sound like they've got enough energy!
