We've got an Ecler mixer. It's pretty nice to use, from a knobs and stuff point of view, but it doesn't have a knob to fade between PFL and OUT, so I get pissed off with it.

I like the Pioneer mixers because they're easy to use, and the FX section is pretty good... but everyone else moans about the sound quality.

We use an A&H in the club, and it's built like a tank, and very good in use. Wouldn't want to have to fork out for one myself though!

Pros and cons each way you look, to be honest.

ive been using the ecler nuo 5 loads - that mixer kicks ass - wouldnt class it as a techno mixer tho - like the long faders on it.

sound quailty on the djm series is shitter compared to the eclers but it aint bad, ive also noticed the a&h break easily from previous use but it depends how hard the past person nailed it hahaha

i love the build of the allen heaths, but the layout of the pioneer. The effects dont really bother me too much

the Zone's build, faders and pots with the djms layout would suit me, might build one hehe

im tempted to take my valuable custom elsewhere, im paying extortionate prices and its taking soooooooo long.

but i just love those carrier bags you give away for free with your mixers

i was mixing on a Denon DNX1500 at the week end. its a quality mixer.
you can control hp/bp/lp filters at will, and the echo and delay fx seem to be cleaner than the DJM600.

    DJM 600

Friendly, well laid out, intuitive effects you can use quickly. A dj's mixer.

Other mixers may have better sound quality or more precise effects, but TBH it makes little difference.

I've yet to play in a club where the DJM 600 is the weak link in the chain.

Bad needles, stupid djs, no limiting and badly set up and overdriven speakers are usually to blame. DJM 600 is a rock solid, reliable quality piece of gear. Go buy one.

The DJM 600 has been my favourite for some time. It is well laid out, the effects are good and easy to use and its fairly durable.
