    Default digital nastiness in SX2

when i load up a tune ive been workin, everything is digitally distorted to fck and wayyy too loud. its not the way i left it at all!!! any ideas? something to do with the sample rate maybe??? do i have to set some kind of master settings?

another thing (which could be the same problem) when i load certain plugins (waves 10 eq for one) i get a click, and then no sound!!!i then have to quit cubase and open it again. i have a feeling this is all relative!!!!!

    what yiz think?

I'm no expert but sounds like cubase is maxing out your pc - maybe try a fresh reinstall? how much ram you got in there?

have you tried adjusting the buffer size and number of buffers in cubase?

also, some plugins are unstable and/or use tons of ram...i've had to basically scrap using a couple because of this...

Mate - I have been having the exact same problem.
Drove me mad and nearly blew my speakers (and whats left of my eardrums)

But like you, I isolated the problem down the othe waves eq's. If you save the eq setting and then reopen it it fixes it.
No idea why. I find SX2 buggy and it crashes and sticks a lot.

But I am a bad person with dubious copies of cubase and wavez, so I can't really complain...

I've had that happen to me too - stoned and up way too late... instantly sober and instantly awake.
