There's so many ways at the mo that ppl use. Personally i pick quite a hard kick to start with, then i speed it up a bit to ket that instant punch, then layer the same kick below it and slow that down abit to get the bottom end on it. Then i'll add reverb, and set the predelay so the verb comes offbeat. Then compress it to hell, and finally eq it.
