    Default O Henry - Question

    Heya

I remember asking you quite some time ago if you had any Kektex live acts recorded. IIRC you and Lawrie performed at Havok? Anyway, you said you did indeed have one, and that you would check around. My cyber-mate Rich was at the gig, and he said you banged it out really well, keeping the tempo quite high.

Is there any hope of this seeing the light of day? Now that Kektex is on hiatus, it would be awesome to hear an classic, stomping live set.

What does everyone else think? Let's ask him nicely, veiling our fanboyish adulation behind polite banter.

    Please?

    not really
me and lawrie barely see each other these days
    busy busy doing other things
and i really don't think it would be the same anyway
you know those days were pretty special times
i'm not saying the music now isn't good but there was a spark then
and i don't know if it's possible to recapture that now.

kektex was great back in the day
but i can't see us getting any more together...
we do talk about it occasionally but it just never seems to come together.

well, it would be great to hear that set if you can find it... i always thought that the London scene did itself a disservice by not releasing more live acts on CD. the best acid techno set i ever heard was Punk Floyd live at a party called Countdown 9, yet it wasn't recorded. i think Lochi also did a live for a little while? man, the things we miss... anyway, cheers for all the great music, old and new.
