    Default sales/ Realeases???????

    Whats the average amount of copies shifted these days on a half decent techno cut???

    Just really intrested to see how many on average are sold!!

    Anyone?

    imo i think techno sales have gone down over the years but i also think that is because there's now so many sub genres. all i can say is to break even you need to be selling 800 or so these days. a bad techno record or one that isn't properly distributed wont do that. but most underground starter labels i reckon will be doing 1000-1500. other labels that have really worked hard and developed a good identity can do anything from 2000-4000 perhaps 5000 if they're lucky. it's a hard tough business the underground techno scene but you can see that if you work your nuts off you can get some quite respectable and profitable sales.

    the problem with this industry however is cash flow.

    and that is why none of us are driving around in ferrari's :)
