Claude Young is technically the best I've seen.
Sven Vath in years go by I have seen destroy clubs, especially Orbit.
Ant at the moment has a good style and plays less boring than many mentioned above.

Production is quite frankly astonishing.Originally Posted by robin m

Dave The Drummer - all the time higest level
Jeff Amadeus - 3 decks master
James Kinetec - my fav hard techno dj
That I've been able to see in person:
DAVE the drummer
Richie Hawtin
Chris Liberator
Well, for sure he's not the best technically... but for me (and 90% of the punters on any given dancefloor) technical ability only means anything if it results in a more enjoyable set - and I've never not enjoyed Si Begg. For me 'best DJ' means the one that makes you have the best time (why else are you there watching them?) and Si Begg always does that for me - fantastic tunes, a varied entertaining style that complements them perfectly and an awesome ability to read and play to the crowd.Originally Posted by TechMouse
If the question was 'who's got the best technical skills in the techno scene' I'd have said something else, as it is big up Mr Begg - he stays :wicked:

If we were listing best producers I'd have him up there in a second. His tunes are fantastic, and - if we're being honest - that AAD mix of his has some of the most interesting tuneage I've come across in a while... in fact, it kind of resurrected my interest in breaks a bit... but the mixing (at times) is absolutely shocking.
I just think there are better DJs of a similar ilk. Dave Tipper springs instantly to mind.
Never seen him... definitely sounds like I should have though ;)Originally Posted by TechMouse

Jerome Hill (Hes injected something into techno which was seriously lacking in my book)
Dj Rush (every time ive seen him hes been nothin short of amazing...the energy in a room when hes playin is unrivalled)
Mark (got me into techno...nuff said)
The rudeness.
I dont like DJs as a rule, but I make some acceptions...
Rush
Hawtin
Liebing
There are others....but not many.
LivePA
That is all...
Why DJ Rush?
Have seen him a few times over the years and he was rather dissapointing. Plodcore.
I suppose his productions might bring him into the top bracket?
Disagree completely.Originally Posted by speed-it-up

Jeff Mills
Richie Hawton
Adam Beyer
I haven't seen these guys much live, but when listening to their live sets online, I'm always entertained.
maybe I'd had one too many and every track just started sounding the same :roll:Originally Posted by TechMouse

Thats a skill.
